#PentelHero- Honoring Everyday Heroes
All month long we’re honoring the heroes in your life. What defines a hero? Is it powering through adversity? Overcoming great challenges? We at Pentel of America strive to honor the everyday hero. Tell us who inspires you at pentel.com/power, and you have a chance to win a backpack stuffed with $250 worth of Pentel products — one for your hero, and one for you! As a bonus we have selected few stories to be transformed into an illustration by Pentel-powered artists. We just love how these artists have offered to help bring heroes to life through their own creativity and talent.
Melissa M. writes about her #PentelHero, “My hero is my cousin Michele who was a wonderful 1st grade teacher. She inspired me to be a loving teacher. She lost her battle with cancer in 2011. When I use her materials, I am inspired.”
Thank you to artist Josh “Bump” Galletta for bringing one of our first #PentelHero stories, submitted by Mark S. to life. Mark shared why his son, Joshua, is his hero. “My son Joshua sat by my hospital bed and never lost faith. He was 7 years old at the time and never gave up. I live with an LVAD now and on the heart transplant list. He got A’s and B’s last school year and is my hero for believing in his dad.”
This #PentelHero submitted by Victoria N. and illustrated by Bonnie Jean Woolger is truly inspiring. “The person I consider to be a hero is my Stepdad. You see, he’s in the army and when he was deployed, he was wounded. He received a Purple Heart, but lost the ability to run. Through it all, he has shown me that laughing can be medicine. ”
