DIY: EARTH DAY LINE DRAWING
Earth Day is a time to celebrate this amazing planet we get to live on, and think about how we can be better stewards to it. For our part, we wanted to create a simple artwork that you could DIY using recycled products and your imagination.
First, what you’ll need: dark recycled paper, Pentel Slicci Metallic Gel pen, and a frame that fits your paper. That’s it!
If you’re a geography expert you might not need to look at a picture of the world, but for us, it helped to do a simple search and find one as a reference. Now it’s time to put pen to paper. Literally start at the bottom left and write “earth” in cursive.

About the Authors
The Girls with Glasses, Brooke and Summer, are a new media happy ending: meeting on MySpace, being fans and supporters of each others’ work and growing into good friends. “We would send each other new blogs that we fancied, or new music that we couldn’t get enough of,” says Summer. “We are both traditional on some things and innovative on others,” adds Brooke. The girls’ paths have connected with The Girls With Glasses Show project, but it took very different ways to get there.
