Aunt Peaches DIY Desk Caddy

Keeping organized is critical for success in school or the workplace, but managing clutter can be a full-time job! A desk caddy is a handy solution with a variety of applications; paperwork, homework, stationary, bills, receipts…the possibilities are endless!
Readymade desk caddies can be expensive and don’t always accommodate your specific needs. Here, using some empty cartons and a few rolls of tape, you can build one yourself without limitations on size or the number of compartments. It’s a portable, inexpensive, easy-to-customize, easy-to-decorate command central you can make in under an hour!
Materials
- Scissors
- Empty boxes (food cartons are an excellent choice)
- Duct Tape
Instructions
1. Trim off the tops of the boxes leaving a smooth top edge.
2. Use duct tape to wrap around the top edge with a 1” lip, then fold inward creating a covered rim.
3. Place your boxes next to each other and bind together using a single piece of duct tape all along the bottom (paperclips may be helpful with this first round). Add another piece of tape a few inches up, and repeat again until all the boxes are secured together.
4. After covering the entire surface of the cartons with duct tape, embellish with patterned tape or other accessories.

Hi Peaches,
I super love the idea of making your own desk caddy! I am an OCD and a total cleaning freak, so I basically detest clutter. And finding the right organizer for me and my space is really hard to find. I am so glad I found this post!! Now I can do my very own organizer, and actually make as many as I can. Haha! Because I tend to store so many different things, and there’s not enough sections in a ready-made organizer. At least now I can do as many as 10 sections for all my stuff!
I hope to hear more office organizing ideas from you soon!
May Estelle rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this most difficult time.I can remember going to her house with Faye and Sandy when we were young and she was always a very nice to us.
My brother recommended I might like this blog. He was once totally right. This publish truly made my day. You cann’t consider just how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!

Love these photos.I have worked with many charities throughout the 26 years of Bobbi Asarch, Personal Party Planning. I have to say the most fulfilling was doing the Holocaust Museum Houston Gala for two years.I am very excited to be included in the Wish Upon a Wedding organization starting up in Houston the end of June.
For clarification per my last post. . .I meant to say, if you’re interested in my project, please send me any additional links for downloading if you have other work that’s not already posted on your website. Thanks.
That’s a smart answer to a tricky question
